There are, however, hundreds of mystery shopping companies with mystery shopping assignments that will not charge you to apply. Check out the sites listed below for free resources. I know b/c I have done many secret shops. SecretShopNet, RoperNOP, Shop N Chek are just a few companies that I have worked with in the past. Do a google search for Secret Shopper or Mystery Shopper, and you should have many choices. Just apply to the ones that don't ask for money, and wait to see if you hear anything back from them. I have gotten paid thru PayPal as well as checks in the mail. Just be careful - if something sounds like a scam, then go to the next one. But there is work out there that will pay you for your secret shopping. Most not too much money but still money.
