   I’ve worked part-time as a mystery shopper for a couple years now while attending university; both live and online. To protect yourself from scams just make sure you are able to talk to a real person and understand how they are paying you. Make sure to ask if they will reimburse you for any products you try.

   Offline, I’ve had good experiences with gapbuster.com. Online, asecretshopper.org pays fairly quickly. There are others as well, but the work can be unpredictable. Good luck!

   Just make sure that you don’t pay them any up front money to get satrted. There are plenty of legitimate honest mystery shopping companies but they’re way too many to list.
