My brothers friend makes $200 a month for driving through Sonic and writing a review on the cleanliness of the drive-thru and food. Has anyone tried this? Seems like a good extra way to make money. Are there better restaurants than Sonic you can review? And is there a limit, so I could make more than $200?

Links and local numbers would be great also I would love to hear feedback from actual houston mystery shoppers and what the process is. I seen some that say you have to pay a fee but I dont trust any job that makes you pay for it first.

I’m a mum of 2 who is working out whether to apply for a position in the UK. I’m not expecting to make my fortune doing it, just earn enough to help with bills etc.

I see the little ads for becoming a mystery shopper, “Shop for free! Keep what you buy!” and wonder if it’s worth giving it a try. Anyone know?

There are some legit companies that will hire you as an independent contractor, and give your shopping or movie going assignment and etc…

However, you do have to provide them your SSN for income tax purpose, and you WILL be hit with estimated tax, and your full portion of medicaid and social security tax for your fairly small shopping reimbursement.

In the past, I found dealing with 1099 and estimated tax to be a pin in the b*tt. Is trivial gig-like activities like mystery shopping worth looking into?

What exactly do you get reimbursed for? Is it just the stuffs you buy or do they also pay mileage, or bonus or etc?

This question is for anybody that is doing the Mystery Shopping Job how can you tell from the Scams and the Real ones i know there is this one Scam when they send you a fake Check for like 3,000 i got one today i ask somebody at Shadow Shoppers.com and they said throw the check in the Trash because they don’t send you checks

What about the ones you have to pay to sign up or those scams i heard they were not. the the ones that send you checks or

I’ve been looking into getting into an internet based work from home job and mystery shopping. I need the best guidelines to follow. It seems they all want to charge to send you information. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m looking for a part-time job so I can bring in extra money for my family. However, I keep seeing these “work-at-home” or “be you own boss” ads. I look into them and it has all these jobs like mystery shops, data entry, sending mail, etc. BUT then I see the “$149.98 start up fee”. That makes me question it. I do know the mystery shop is legitimate (I’ve worked retail) but what about the others? Do these jobs really work? Can I actaully make some extra money by working from home?

Has anyone or know of anyone really doing the mystery shopping?

Without getting suckered by a company to pay a fee. I know a girl who did it for a little bit but she wasn’t able to do it and work full time because they were very specific about their needs-like you had to go to Burger King for breakfast and stores a very specific times. She said there where no sign up fees and she originally found them in the newspaper. She did a few jobs for them and got paid but she said they didn’t have a lot of work they could offer her.

I have also heard of people paying $30.00 member fee and getting scammed out of $3,000 after give the website their credit info.

I was interested in this because I need a job for some extra cash and I already do comparison shopping for the job I am at and have to do things like reports on how the traffic walks through the store and how many people past this rack and how assessable it is.
